Battery
A battery is a device that stores energy, similar to a Capactior. It differs from a capacitor in that it stores energy chemicly and not staticly, allowing it to retain energy for longer and to have a higher storage capacity, both by volume and by weight. Rechargable baterise are typicly use lithium, althoug older lead-acid bateries are also used. Their are MANY battery chemistries, too many to list here.
